About Us

Founded in 1999 by racing enthusiast, Everett Sather, JR Motorsports has been focused on serving the racer and high performance enthusiast since its inception.  Since then, Dick Easter and Dave Johnson have joined Everett in ownership, and together these partners have taken JR Motorsports to an all new level.  Their shared  
vision and dedication has truly created "America's Finest One-Stop Race Shop!"    

The company is managed by President Dave Johnson and his outstanding team of managers.  The Purchasing department is headed by Steve Borts and assisted by Mimie Howell.  General Manager, Scot Johnson, oversees the
operations of the business, marketing efforts, web site construction as well as business development.  

Our Professional Sales Staff is managed by National Sales Manager, Matt Stoneburner.  Joining Matt in our Ankeny location are Billy Davis Jr., Byron Okones, Todd Shute and Randy Havlik.  Our newly remodeled showroom features a complete line of parts, including a new 2008 Victory Mod on display.  Our experience and phenomenal technical support gives you a level of customer service second to none.

The Warehouse Staff consists of a large number of employees who understand the importance of building customer loyalty through accurate, same-day shipping of all your packages.  Jason Riegel heads up our processing department, and is supported by a great group of individuals.  Dennis Hapes is responsible for receiving huge amounts of inventory, making sure we have the parts on the shelf, when you need them!

The Ankeny Machine Shop is managed by Dan Nikkel, our first full-time machinist at the company's inception.  Our complete state of the art facility includes an engine dyno, air flow bench, computerized cam doctor and test cell for fuel injectors and pumps. Dan's team of professional machinists consists of Shawn Bright, Chad Seidl, Larry Altmann, Jamie Whitacker, Jeff Ross, Andy Bryant, Kenny Hapes, and Cody Nadler.  Axel Andreasen serves as the shop's customer service manager.  Axel's knowledge of the racing and high performance industry provides you with the best technical support anywhere.  His ability to answer technical questions combined with product knowledge ensures you are getting the right engine combination for your track or traveling series.  Whether you race on dirt, asphalt, street or strip, our team of professional machinists will provide you with the horsepower you want and the dependability you need!

Our Boone Location, adjacent to the Boone Speedway at 1498 220th Street, is managed by Champion modified racer Pat Graham.  Assisted by Ryan Leeman and Coty Mallicoat, this treo provides exceptional service, knowledge, and support.  The Boone location not only offers a complete line of parts, but a state of the art machine shop as well.  Headed by Championship engine builder, Kent Davenport, this team of professionals has a track record that speaks for itself.  Rod Richards, Craig Fjelland, Logan Pope, and Brad Seidl have been proving that our team of professional machinists is among

Victory Chassis is currently in its fifth year of production.  Thanks to the tremendous effort of chassis designer Randy Havlik and his staff, Victory cars are taking checkered flags across the country.  Joining Randy are fabrication specialists Mike Kastli and Doug Seidl, and together these three have developed our chassis program which includes modifieds, stock cars and hobby stocks.

Our Track Sales team is headed by J.C. Moore and Jason Riegel.  Each weekend during the race season, 
JR Motorsports services 4 tracks in central Iowa, including Boone Speedway on Saturdays.  Whether you need fuel,
tires, or a part at the track, we've got you covered with our jammed pack parts trailer.  

The Racer Support Program offered by JR Motorsports continues to grow in popularity and offers the racer something special in return.  Designed  as a rewards program for racers who support JR Motorsports, incentives are offered for a complete line of parts, engines, and even chassis.  We encourage racers interested to contact the sales staff for more details about the program.
